Progress of Sensory Simulator
Sensory Simulator:
The initial idea was to create a big tent and build a little environment inside, but following good advice I have changed it, and I concentrated only on the head because most of the receptors of senses are located on our heads.
Function and use of an object, in general, is almost equal to the design and look of it.
It tells what it is. The overal look gives an idea of use, brings memories back and have an impact of receiving a response to the subject.
This time I have focused not only on senses but at psychological aspect of perception. It is not only our senses can tricked by our brain but (I think especially) our emotions. Reaction to same things can be completely different regarding to our mood, things like smell or sound, etc.
Following that way of looking at this aspect, I will give you an example for better understanding: when I feel drops of cold and wet rain on my skin, I can feel cold wind trying to still my warm, then I feel so uncomfortable and annoyed, but if I would stand on the rain and kiss a person who I am in love that would be like scene from romantic film. If I was lying on a yacht cold wind would not bother me at all.
So our senses are very important but in combination with emotions can be so different.
The simulator is in the shape of white creatures head because I was trying to present emotional way of feeling. Very often at places where there are a lot of people, like train station, I feel invisible, alone, missed out, like a stranger, alienated, like a ghost in crowd of people chasing their own lives. Sometimes being in such a rush we do not know what the target of our race is anymore...
